Setting up Localify on PC.

Prerequisites

Ensure you have a DMM Account before proceeding.

Japan VPN may be required to access and download the DMM Game Player.

Step 1: Install DMM Game Player

1. Visit the Gakumas DMM Page

1. Click on Game Start.

2. Download and install DMM Game Player by selecting it as the launcher.

3. Once installed, launch DMM Game Player.

If prompted, log in to your DMM Account.

Step 2: Download and Install Gakumas

1. Open DMM Game Player and locate Gakumas.

2. Download and install the game.

3. After installation, launch the game to verify functionality.

Step 3: Set Up Localify

1. Download the latest version of Localify

1. Download DMM_GakumasLocalify_Beta-Fix2.zip

2. Extract the zip file, and you should get:

A folder named gakumas-local

A file named version.dll

1. Navigate to your Gakumas installation folder:

Default Directory: C:\Users\%username%\gakumas

1. Place both extracted items into the Gakumas installation folder.

Ensure that version.dll and gakumas.exe are in the same directory.

Step 4: Set Up Translation Data

1. Remove existing contents in gakumas-local folder:

Default Directory: C:\Users\%username%\gakumas\gakumas-local

This step is essential for clearing the existing Translation Data bundled with Localify.

1. Launch the game and press Ctrl + U to open the Gakumas Config GUI.

2. Disable Fast Initialization in Basic Settings

3. Disable Replace Font in Basic Settings

4. Enable Check Resource Update From API in the Resource Settings

5. Enter https://api.github.com/repos/NatsumeLS/Gakumas-Translation-Data-EN/releases/latest

6. Download the Translation Data.

By clicking on Check button.

1. Enable MasterDB Localization in Debug Settings

2. Click on Save Config

Troubleshooting

Translations are partially in Chinese

1. Delete the local-files folder and version.txt file.

Default Directory: C:\Users\%username%\gakumas\gakumas-local

1. Restart the game and download the Translation Data.
